This was the flight back from Paris (After the dreadful airport lounge) I slept for about 45 minutes of it. I then met Mick (my true friend, driver and confidante - and his lovely partner Cheryl - who just wanted to come in the car to say hello - which was nice.)

Spending 45 minutes with them in a car recharged my batteries and gave me the strength to get through a not insubstantial night out. But I survived and here I am now in the First lounge at Heathrow (it feels a bit like I have a timeshare here).

I was interviewed today by PR Week for a profile - it was my first, and to be honest I’m not sure how well I did - funny when poacher turns gamekeeper.

I had to have the obligatory picture taken too - which was entirely loathsome - but I wearing my favourite jacket and tie.

It was amusing when at the end of the interview, the journalist asked my age - when I told her - 32 - she then proceeded to write the numbers large and outlined on her page - with an exclamation mark, which amused me.

I board in 45 minutes. Not one minute too soon.
